Task Committee on HPFRCC established by JCI

The Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) has established a three years Task Committee on High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitous Composites (HPFRCC) at April 1, 2001. The objectives of the Task Committee are to disseminate HPFRCC technologies, to accelerate progresses in research, and to create close network between researchers involved in HPFRCC. A state-of-the-art will be summarized in the first year. The work plan for second and third years will be developed based on the state-of-the-art report. Discussions on material design, material characterization, production, durability, long-term behavior, standard test methods, numerical modeling techniques, application, structural performance and construction are expected to be included in the second and third years works.

The Task Committee is planning, also, to hold an International Workshop scheduled in October 21st and 22nd, 2002 at Gifu, Japan. The aims of the workshop are to provide an international forum for engineers and all who are concerned with the promotion and exchange of information on recent advances in HPFRCC in both research and practice. The workshop proceedings will be published by JCI.
